PRAYER OF ENTRUSTMENT TO MARY, STAR OF THE SEA

Fr. Brothers and sisters, at the end of this celebration, let us entrust ourselves to the Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of the Sea.

 

Let us pray.

Lord our God,

who have placed the sea before the eyes of man

as a place of beauty, work, and encounter,

accept our prayer.

We entrust to you all vessels,

those that still ply the waters

and those that belong to the memory of our communities.

We entrust to you all who build them,

guard them, and guide them;

all who work there and sail there,

all who await their return,

and all who, in any way, are connected to the life of the sea.

Protect every journey and every path,

support those who face hardship and danger,

protect those in difficulty,

and grant serenity to those waiting on the shore.

Remember those who have entrusted their lives to the sea

and remained in its waters;

console those who cherish their memory,

and let their memory be for us

a reminder of gratitude and hope.

And when the path becomes uncertain,

grant us never to lose faith,

and to always recognize you

as our safe harbor.

Through the intercession of Mary,

Star of the Sea,

accompany our steps,

illuminate our paths,

and lead us to Christ,

the true light and hope of humanity.

He lives and reigns forever and ever.
